Windy today...

The wind was hard out of the south this morning for my commute in. I suffered a little getting here. No big deal. I took up road cycling out in the winds of West Texas. Suffered then too. I think its a running theme with me.

House full of kids every evening it seems. Amber is watching lots of kids this summer and it always seems to spill over into the evening. It keeps ours entertained to have friends over all the time. I dont want them bored this summer so it helps. Amber took them to the pool last night. Big fun. I am worried that its just too much with all the extra kids lately. I owe her a vacation. A really nice one.

Stefan did the first Manda TT series race last night and he called to say he wasnt sure of his ride. A little background... I got Stefan into the sport lots of years ago and he has progressed immensely. He is an absolute monster on the bike and one of my goals is to get back to where we can train together. OK back to Stefan and his TT.

He was worried about his ride because some younger riders made him go out too fast on the opening leg. He ended up winning his class (Masters) and dropping the younger guys on the tough (against the wind) leg. So if you are paying attention, today's theme is "wind". Good going Stefan.

My uncle Hal got into a motorcycle accident when a car pulled out in front of him. He will recover, couple of fractured ribs. He didnt mention anything else. My other uncle Newel helped him with a lawyer. Hopefully that all goes smoothly. No wind involved as far as I can tell.

Looks like I am going to have to push my soccer coaching course back until August. They want me there Friday evening and Saturday morning and it just wont work for us getting there from Austin. That means that we are going to Houston with the kids just for fun a little over a week from now. We will probably hit the Natural Science Museum, NASA space center and I am hoping the MFA nearby. Several years ago (before kids) we caught the Kohn Sisters collection there and got to see several Matisse, and Picasso paintings as well as others. It was incredible to be that close. I didnt appreciate how rare they were when I was there. Oh, and I dont remember if it was windy or not. Lets just say, yes, there was a slight breeze.

Just rode my bike (rode in today again just in case you missed that) over to Chipotle for a burrito for lunch. Rode back, uphill most of the way back and it was still windy. It wasnt uphill both ways. ;]

If you have eaten there at Chipotle, you have probably seen their napkins. Check out the symbols on the back (digging symbols lately for design work). The first one looks like the person holding the burrito is "coveting" it. I always look at it and say "Covet thy burrito". Funny. That is what I think anyway, what do I know. I am weird.

Ok, back to work.
